The Football European Championship 2020 is a challenge for organizations, sponsors and fans. The UEFA has made a fundamental change in its concept with 12 different venues and countries, which will require specific logistical management. This applies to both ticketing and to travel and hotel management.

General information
12th of June until 12th of July 2020

  • 24 teams in six x four groups
  • The initial winner and runner-up team of each group, but also the four best positioned third parties, will reach the knock- out phase
  • Opening game in Rome
  • Final in London
  • None of the 12 host countries is automatically qualified
  • Qualifying games in groups between March and November 2019
  • Draw of the qualified groups on 2nd of December 2018 in Dublin
  • Out of these 10 groups the winner and runner-up teams are qualified
  • Additional four teams are in the play offs (out of the 16 group winners) of the UEFA Nations League
  • Group winners are qualified via group phase: position goes to next best nation of this Nations League Group, otherwise next best group according to UEFA ranking
